My name is Kathy Nyinipuwa Guyula. My parents are Bayirrbayirr and Djorrpum. My language is Djambarrpuygu and my clan group Guyula. I am Gamanydjan and my moiety is Dhuwa. (The worldview of all Australian Aborigines is divided into two halves called moieties. The Yolngu people call the two moieties of their world view Dhuwa and Yirritja.) I move to Gapuwiyak in 1987 and now I am living here. I work at the health center as a cleaner. During weekends I go out with my friends collecting pandanus. I enjoy weaving baskets called bulpu (dilly bags) and other fibre works. My totems and my dreaming are two sisters.
