Baskets made from Darwirr or Lawyer Vine (Smilax australis) are based on traditional forms. Darwirr is a strong vine and was used in collecting and keeping food. Conical fish traps are a classic form that has been adapted into different shapes and purposes. Darwirr is also now being dyed with root colours.
