My name is Alison Djawurrku Wunungmurra. My mother is Helena Wanambi and my father is Joe Wunungmurra. I was born in Numbulwar and I went to school at Gapuwiyak. I learned painting and how to draw from my mother and father. I went to Batchelor school workshops where I learned to teach children. My totems are yam (Yukuwa), fresh water crayfish (Dakawa) and long neck turtle (Nyangura). Yes, I can draw my own design.
