Rena Wayayun Guyula  was born at Doyndji outstation in East Arnhem Land, where her mother taught her to weave. She is part of a strong cohort of artists who live and work together at Doyndji. Weavings from Doyndji are highly prized, as the pandanus there grows long, alongside Gurrumala, the freshwater creek that runs through the homeland.
