Nyangura (Long necked turtle)


The long necked turtle, Nyangura, is Yirritja and has different names like Gomdaw and Bakarra. When he travelled in the creation times he made bila (tracks) and billabongs that are still here today. Bakarra travelled from Ngaliyindi,  through Dhupurrdjarrak, Gamidi and on to Baydamere,
