Gurrumaṯtji or Magpie Geese are a totem bird for the Ganalbingu clan who live around Gurruwiling, (Arafura Swamp). Gurrumaṯtji are sung and danced during ceremony. Gurrumaṯtji feed on Rakay, an edible reed grass. They breed during the wet season. Later as the weather gets cooler Yolngu hunt the geese for food.
