The Marrakulu branch of the Marrangu clan from Gurkawuy, paint the story of the Mullet fish. The fish swim in schools towards, around and away from a submerged rock, Gultultja, in salt water country on the East Coast of Arnhem land. The mullet are said to represent the children of the Marrakulu, swimming together, finding their way in the world.
